In order to expand and advance Earth sciences, enhance both the quantity and quality of specialized expertise, and improve educational and research activities in related fields, the Geological Society of Iran has been active since 1995. Over the past years, numerous conferences have been held at various universities across the country.

In this regard, with the coordination of the esteemed Board of Directors of the Geological Society of Iran, the 1^st International Conference and the 28^th National Conference of the Geological Society of Iran will be hosted by the Department of Geology at the University of Zanjan on October 29-30, 2025.

It is our sincere hope that, with the participation of researchers and scholars in Earth sciences, this conference will prove to be both fruitful and enriching. We look forward to welcoming distinguished professors, researchers, and students to the green campus of the University of Zanjan.
